Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your relationship with the operator of the Star Sports betting services provided through the website located at stersports.com (the "Website"). Definitions

In these Terms, unless the context requires otherwise:

  • "Bonus Funds" means funds credited to your Account as part of a Bonus and which are subject to wagering requirements or other conditions before they may be withdrawn.
  • "Real Money Funds" means funds you have deposited into your Account and any winnings derived from such funds that are not subject to bonus restrictions.
  • "Wagering Requirements" means the amount you must stake using Bonus Funds, or the number of times a Bonus or deposit amount must be wagered, before the related Bonus Funds and associated winnings may be withdrawn.

Account Registration

Eligibility and Age Verification

  • Minimum age: You must be at least 18 years old to open an Account or place any Bet on the Website. It is a criminal offence in the United Kingdom for anyone under 18 to engage in gambling.
  • Location and legal capacity: You may only use the Website if gambling is legal in your jurisdiction and you have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts. User Responsibilities

Betting & Gameplay Rules

In addition to these Terms, particular sports, racing markets, or promotions may be governed by specific rules displayed on the Website at the time you place your Bet. If there is any inconsistency between such specific rules and these Terms, the specific rules will normally prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.

Placing Bets

  • Offer and acceptance: Markets and odds displayed on the Website constitute an invitation to treat, not a binding offer. A Bet is only accepted when it appears in your betting history as "placed" or "confirmed" after you have submitted it and we have processed it.
  • Types of bets: We may offer a variety of bets, including but not limited to win, each-way, accumulators, multiples, in-play bets, and special or novelty markets. The rules for each type of Bet are explained on the relevant market page or in our betting rules section on stersports.com.
  • Minimum and maximum stakes: Minimum and maximum stake limits apply and are displayed on the bet slip or market page. We may refuse all or part of any Bet that falls outside these limits or does not meet our internal trading or risk criteria.
  • Timing: Bets must be placed before the advertised start time of the event or market, unless the market is explicitly offered "in-play". We may void any Bet placed (or appearing to be placed) after the outcome is known or after a material advantage could be obtained.
  • Cash out: Where offered, cash-out is a feature provided at our discretion. Availability, cash-out values, and functionality are not guaranteed and may be withdrawn at any time. A cash-out transaction is final once confirmed.

Cancellation, Voiding and Errors

  • Customer cancellations: Once a Bet has been accepted, you do not have a right to cancel it. Requests to cancel or amend Bets are considered entirely at our discretion and we are under no obligation to grant them.
  • Palpable and obvious errors: If, due to a human or technical error, a market is offered with an incorrect price, handicap, participant, or any other obvious mistake that you reasonably should have recognised, we may void the Bet or settle it at the correct price that should have been available at the time the Bet was placed.
  • Abandoned, postponed or void events: Rules about abandoned or postponed events are stated in our sport-specific rules. Generally, if an event is cancelled and not rescheduled within the timeframe specified in those rules, affected Bets may be voided and stakes returned.
  • Settlement of Bets: We settle Bets using the official result as declared by the relevant governing body or reliable data provider at the time of settlement. If an official result is subsequently amended, we are not obliged to re-settle Bets unless our published rules state otherwise.
  • Technical failures: If a technical or system failure causes incorrect odds, lines, or market statuses to be displayed, or prevents Bets from being placed, changed, or closed, we may declare affected Bets void where required to ensure fairness and compliance with UK Gambling Commission rules.

Conduct, Live Services and Chat

  • Fair play: You must not engage in collusion, use automated systems (bots), exploit vulnerabilities, or otherwise act in a manner that gives you an unfair advantage or undermines the integrity of any market.
  • Information misuse: You must not place Bets where you possess inside information, or where doing so would breach any applicable law, sporting integrity rule, or duty of confidentiality.
  • Live chat and communications: Where we provide live chat, social media, or other communication channels, you must not post or transmit any content that is abusive, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, threatening, or that promotes illegal activity or other gambling operators.
  • Monitoring and suspension: We may monitor betting patterns, account activity, and communications to detect suspicious, fraudulent, or irresponsible gambling behaviour. Where necessary, we may suspend markets, void Bets, or restrict or close your Account to comply with our regulatory obligations.

Bonus Terms

From time to time we may offer Bonuses, including free bets, deposit matches, enhanced odds, or other promotions, in connection with Star Sports services on stersports.com. Each promotion is subject to these general Bonus Terms and to any specific terms advertised with the promotion. If there is a conflict, the specific promotional terms will usually prevail.

Eligibility, Award and Activation

  • Wagering requirements: Unless expressly stated otherwise, Bonus Funds and any winnings derived from them must be wagered a specified number of times before they become withdrawable. The applicable wagering requirements, qualifying markets, and time limits will be clearly stated in the relevant promotion.
  • Game and market restrictions: Certain markets, bet types, or staking patterns may be excluded from contributing to wagering requirements (for example, very short-priced selections, opposing bets on the same event, or cash-out Bets). Such exclusions will be disclosed in the promotional terms.
  • Use of Real Money first: Unless expressly stated otherwise, Real Money Funds will be used to place Bets before Bonus Funds. Once Real Money Funds are exhausted, Bets may be placed using Bonus Funds, subject to the relevant restrictions.

Payments & Withdrawals

Deposits

Refunds, Chargebacks and Security

Limitation of Liability

Our Obligations

  • Indirect and consequential loss: To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential losses, including loss of profits, business, or data, arising out of your use of the Website or our services.
  • Maximum liability: Subject to the paragraph below, and to the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in respect of any Bet or series of related Bets is limited to the amount of the stake(s) you placed with us on the relevant Bet(s), or the amount of money actually held in your Account at the time the relevant issue arose, whichever is lower.
  • Non-excludable liability: Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable consumer protection laws.

Intellectual Property Rights

  • Ownership: All intellectual property rights in and to the Website and its content, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, trademarks, service marks, trade names, designs, software, databases, audio-visual content, and underlying source code, are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Termination & Suspension

Our Right to Suspend or Close Your Account

  • Breach or suspected breach: We may suspend or close your Account where we reasonably believe that you have breached these Terms, any applicable promotional terms, or any laws or regulations, or where we have reasonable grounds to suspect Fraudulent Activity or misuse of the Website.

Balances on Closure
